    We share your sense of shock over your summary rejection by the 
Periodical Press Galleries; -  -  -  some democracy!!  I think I share 
your other subscribers' puzzlement; is that group a governmental or a 
private organization?  - - - Is there something substanitive that we 
can do?

    We are numbed by Clinton's signing of the Telecommunications Act.  
All of our elation over the democratic nature and high expectations for 
the liberating potential of the Net have been dashed. -  -  -  We 
sympathize with your rage but now look to you for sane guidance on how 
to direct our energies to combat the effects of this awful travesty.

    Again, thanks for your fine work; you add to the spark that keeps 
us going.
