Rick Maze, who works for the Army Times full time at the 
Senate Periodical Press Galleries, is one of the gangbusters 
who voted to reject my Press credentials.  These are the
folks expanding their use of networked information 
systems all over the place, as mentioned in the below
message sent to online-news.  They are evidently very
close to Steve Outing, owner of online-news, with whom
I have had some major, continuing confrontations.  

This list is used by some 1400 newspapers who have been
attempting to "take over" the Net, and get rid of people
who deliver the news free of charge, such as me.  They
have been extremely concerned lately, with indications
that their venture into cyberspace is failing badly.

Notice also, the heavy handed piece in The Washington
Post recently, comments attached below, attacking 
network "abuses" and network practices.  The Post
has been taking a gas pipe with their online venture.

   Hello colleagues.  I've been working for months building five Web sites
for various publications of Army Times Publishing Co., which also has an area
on America Online called Military City Online.  Steve Outing did a column on
our plans for the Web sites last September.  Yesterday, we finally released
them.
   I hope it is not a breach of etiquette to mention the URLs and invite you

   The site offers information on this independent company -- publisher of

Times and Federal Times -- along with news stories and photos from current
issues, an online store and bulletin boards.
Defense News Online (http://www.defensenews.com)
   The site for Defense News, the independent newsweekly of the international
defense community.  It includes news stories, photos, downloadable files,
bulletin boards, an online store and links to selected defense-related Web
sites.

Space News Online (http://www.spacenews.com)
   The site for Space News, the independent newsweekly of the international
space community.  It includes news stories, photos, downloadable files,
bulletin boards, an online store and links to selected space-related Web
sites.

Federal Times (http://www.federaltimes.com)
   The site of Federal Times, the newsweekly for U.S. federal employees,
includes: searchable 1996 pay rates for all 33 regions, news stories, photos,
