Frankenstein, epigraph:
Did I request thee, Maker, from my clay
To mould me man? Did I solicit thee
From darkness to promote me?----

The Frankenstein Civilization
According to Adolph Hitler (1889-1945), “democracy undermined the natural selection of ruling elites and was 'nothing other than the systematic cultivation of human failure.” Joseph Goebbels (1897-1945), who was Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda for the German Third Reich under Adolph Hitler, “maintained that the people never rule themselves and claimed that every history-making epoch had been created by aristocrats.”
The transformation of Germany into a totalitarian nation ruled by an elite was supported by the propaganda system managed by Joseph Goebbels. Noam Chomsky explains how the Nazi propaganda system worked and how the US advertising model was used for that purpose. Chomsky writes:
"Look at Germany in the early 1930s. We tend to forget that it was the most advanced country in Europe, taking the lead in art, science, technology, literature and philosophy.
"Then, in no time at all, it suffered a complete reversal of fortune and became the most barbaric, murderous state in human history. All that was achieved by using fear: Fear of the Bolsheviks, the Jews, the Americans, the Gypsies – everyone who, according to the Nazis, was threatening the core values of European culture and the direct descendants of Greek civilisation (as the philosopher Martin Heidegger wrote in 1935).
"However, most of the German media who inundated the population with these messages were using marketing techniques developed by US advertising agents." Ed Strong Blog, (10 August 2007)
Untill now, following the collapse of the Soviet Union, the only rival to the American superpower, and in the early years of the 21st century with the Administration of George W. Bush, the crimes against humanity of the Nazi regime of Adolph Hitler, were so far unprecedented as to fairly prohibit any comparison. Things have changed, however. There is now evidence that the transformation of the USA into a totalitarian nation ruled by an elite is well under way. Indeed, beyond the wildest dreams of the Minister of Public Enlightenment and Propaganda for the German Third Reich, there is now growing urgency for Mind Justice to protect the mental integrity of human beings from new technologies that target the human mind and nervous system.
This is an age of "contempt for democracy and democratic institutions" writes Larry D. Kramer, expressing frustration over the Judicial lies and authoritarian subversion of the fundamental constitutional right of the people to exercise exclusive control over the election of a government. Larry D. Kramer, "The Supreme Court in Politics," in Jack N. Rakove, editor, The Unfinished Election of 2000, 105, 151-152 (2001). The elite is fearful of a possible loss of their autocratic powers resulting from any shift to democratic social and political structures. The Republican right as well as the Democratic left, who are manifestly opposed to participatory democracy, are blooming in the political landscape. The battle for democracy looms on the horizon, as chronicled in depth by Ralph Nader, in Crashing the Party (2002).
Fearful political insiders involved in Republican and Democratic politics, feel the not so hidden hand of a democratic backlash made inevitable by the multitudes that have been left out, victims of the politics of rich and poor. Every PC is a potential node for a new revolt of the masses. Desperate leaderless resistance and grass roots street protests are storming the Empire. The new Federal Department of Homeland Security joined the momentous struggle between plutocracy and democracy. This is not a mere "war on terror" as claimed by the Bushites; it is a war on the American people, to defeat the very ideals of Jeffersonian liberty of citizens; notwithstanding, the rare act of remembrance e.g.: Thomas Jefferson at 265 (POWER LINE, April 19, 2008).
Indeed, there is a significant segment of public opinion and Republican insider evidence indicating that the Bush Cabal authorized the attack on the Twin Towers, in New York -- 9/11, in order to create a security crisis that would support their war against the American people. The former Italian President Francesco Cossiga published an interview in the leading Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Nov 30, 2007, in which he flatly disclosed "the disastrous attack was planned and carried out by the American CIA and the Mossad."
For capitalist "Big Money" institutions, especially, money matters more than freedom, according to a report from Britain, where the rule of law is becoming extinct in the face of despotism. When an indigent litigant goes to court, all hell breaks out, at pages 33-40; ¶¶ 63-79: the legal profession and judges in state and federal courts in the USA, together with their favored "Big Money" clients, are known to transform the judicial system into a national criminal conspiracy in violation of antitrust laws subjecting litigants to massive abuse of fundamental interests in liberty and property.
A philosophy of greed juiced up with the metaphor--"survival of the fittest"--appears to define contemporary politics. Evolution of the species of plants and animals are locked in a war of nature and genetic inheritance. This was described by the philosopher Herbert Spencer (1820-1903) who gave expression to the metaphor, "survival of the fittest," from which the theory of "Social Darwinism" was derived. This theory may be useful to explain "the excesses of capitalism," writes Steve Jones, Darwin’s Ghost: The Origin of Species Updated 329 (1999), however, the philosophy of greed has no scientific basis for so narrowly confining the fate of humanity. Fragmented actions in the market based upon a philosophy of greed determined by Social Darwinism, "could not produce anything but the most dire consequences" observed the early 20th-century American philosopher and polymath, Charles S. Peirce (1839-1914), reviewed in V.G. Potter, On Norms & Ideals 175-176 (1997). Peirce's treatise on "Pragmatism and the Normative Sciences," and his analysis of the evolutionary theory of "Social Darwinism" Id., at 52, 175-176, for which he has earned internationally acclaim, was a devastating repudiation of the capitalist philosophy.
Beyond the competition between plants and animals controlled by genetic structure, whose evolution proceeds by fortuitous events, human beings possess a conscious mind and psycho cultural striving, generating the evolution of behavior guided by habits of the mind not merely blind instinct. The elite has weighed in to tip the balance, we have seen in the early years of the 21st century, to defeat the cultural striving of human beings and, instead, support the "most dire consequences" just as envisioned by Spencer and the murderous Nazi cabal. Indeed, the hideous progeny of the doctrine of Social Darwinism, is not unlike the runaway monster produced by the mad scientist Victor Frankenstein, from the imagination of a horror story that Mary Shelley wrote, which was first published in 1818.
Under these pressures the American Civilization early in the 21st century is defined by an incommensurable conflict of values, which threatens the elite and the driving forces of decadent capitalism in which we Americans exist. This situation is presently controlled by the "New Slave Masters," as chronicled by the masterful Attorney Gerry Spence:
We are taught freedom, speak freedom, exercise freedom, and yet it is all a puff in the wind if, at last, no matter how we strive at the invisible chains, we cannot set the course of our own lives. And if our nation has become only an instrument of power for those in power, if no matter how we the people try, we cannot change its course, we are only ants crawling on the deck of a vessel at sea destined for Lord knows what port. G. Spence, Give Me Liberty! 108 (1998).
The "New Slave Masters" exercise a leadership structure and Administration of Government that evidence the most appalling behavior that now engulfs American existence. This condition was recently underscored by the remarks of George McGovern:
American democracy has been "derailed" by the administration's commitment to "a murderous, illegal, nonsensical war against Iraq … done without the declaration of war from Congress that the Constitution clearly requires, in defiance of the U.N. Charter and in violation of international law. This reckless disregard for life and property, as well as constitutional law, has been accompanied by the abuse of prisoners, including systematic torture, in direct violation of the Geneva Conventions of 1949." "How could a once-admired, great nation fall into such a quagmire of killing, immorality and lawlessness?" Remarks of George McGovern, former Democratic nominee for president who ran against Richard Nixon, a president later driven from office under threat of impeachment, CBS NEWS, Sun Jan 6, 2008.
Similarly, in The Nobel lecture given by Nobel laureate Harold Pinter with regard to the 2005 Nobel prize for literature, Pinter made dramatic and terrifying reference to this existential state in the United States:
The crimes of the United States have been systematic, constant, vicious, remorseless, but very few people have actually talked about them. You have to hand it to America. It has exercised a quite clinical manipulation of power worldwide while masquerading as a force for universal good. It's a brilliant, even witty, highly successful act of hypnosis.
Indeed, The Frankenstein Civilization that has emerged from a return to barbarity has brought violent death to between 20 and 30 million people, in wars and conflicts scattered over the world, for which the USA most likely has been responsible since World War II. The ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan could cost three trillion dollars, according to Nobel Laureate Joseph Stiglitz and Harvard Economist Linda Bilmes in an exclusive report by Democracy Now!, in addition to the estimated $542 billion cost of war in Vietnam, Korea, the Persian Gulf I, and Yugoslavia, revealing an estimated total war cost ranging between $2.9 trillion to $3.5 trillion in the wealth of the nation during the period from 1945 to 2017 (excluding the trifling multimillion dollar costs of war in Guatemala, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Lebanon/Beirut, Granada, and Panama). All of these acts of aggression have been driven by the propaganda systems of the American "Media Aristocracy" just as envisioned by Adolph Hitler and Joseph Goebbels in their reflections on the futility of systematic cultivation of democracy and illogical attempts to resist the history-making epochs created by aristocrats. We must conclude history may prove correct this insight of artificial aristocrats (to use Jefferson's phrase, in his 1813 letter to John Adams), unless the collective wisdom and power of the people can be harnessed to deliver the promise of democracy right now!.
The existing situation looks dire, indeed. A great wave of anti-democrats, has been felt across the nation during the opening years of the 21st century. In the campaign of 2000, presidential candidate Bill Bradley, assailed the "great stone wall ... between the people and their representatives." Big Media summarily dismissed Bill Bradley from the campaign trail after he made that statement. In 2004,, Ralph Nader, was blocked from his candidacy because of his pro-democracy, anti-corporate advocacy. Americans have now seen how easy it was for the "Media Aristocracy," in the presidential campaign of 2008, to sabatage the candidacy of John Edwards, when he "pledged to take on the entrenched moneyed interests who are strangling our government.” Bradley, Nader, and Edwards, as well as Gerry Spence, are certainly correct in their opposition to the exercise of total control over our Government by entrenched capitalists, who have manifestly made a mockery of the promise of democracy and the rule of law itself.
The other two leading candidates, who were selected as the favorites by the "Media Aristocracy" in 2008, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, entered the contest with the evident intention of playing the game set up by the capitalist plutocracy in the competition for campaign financing. The Clintons have been famously playing both ends of the political stream as a winning strategy against the people. Their War of Aggression against Yugoslavia (1998-1999), was the murderous nighmare of a homicidal maniac. Obama's "hope" filled rhetoric offers both an "illusion of change" (CBC News), and now we learn upon careful examination of his record by Wall Street public interest reporter Pam Martens, in a 2-part report May 5-6, 2008, this inspirational man of color is heavily funded by Wall Strreet lawyers who are registered federal lobbyists, directly contrary to the core tenet of Senator Obama's campaign platform that the way he is gong to bring the country hope and change is not taking money from federal lobbyists. Obama's claim that he is raising almost half his campaign donations from small donors via internet is not disputed but this is simply another way to confirm that more than half his campaign funding is coming from "Big Money", who will obviously drive his policy options, according to Bob Ostertag, an Obama advocate, in his report June 20, 2008. The role of lobbyists in guiding this policy direction is clearly revealed in Pam Martens' report. Moreover, making an election for president of the USA dependent upon exorbitant advertising fees that gravely limit access, with commercial media in total control of the channels of political discussion, may be a terrific business model for the media but it is a disastrous model for democracy. In this model, the voices of the people as well as the voices of the candidates are subordinated to the machinations of the media. Marshall McLuhan, the sage of culture and technology, will be remembered for his metaphor "the medium is the message" suggesting that the content of communications are subjected to the control of the medium itself. Indeed, individual control over Internet Personalities offers a wide range of technology enhancements to allow self-designed individual personalities to flourish while challenging the meaning of authentic political discussioon via Internet. Here is Obama'08 Mind.

Presidential Candidate Barack Obama, who has an inspirational doublethink political style, is self-projected as a Joe Lieberman Democrat, a Ronald Reagan Republican, an Al Gore Democrat, and a Martin Luther King, Jr. Democrat. This attempt by a political leader to identify with all conflicting factions is a ludicrous error of judgment, exhibiting symptoms of multiple personality disorder. Political leadership is needed not to choose winners and losers, nor to pretend there will be none, but to facilitate value choices by the whole people to form a more perfect Union. The sovereign power to decide is the people. This requires integrative dialogue, which no public official can supplant with their own value judgments.
Obama'08 Mind, was posted at FINS World News, Tuesday morning March 18, 2008, with special emphasis on the first principle of the Preamble that I commented upon last January. It was, therefore, a perfect delight to discover that also on Tuedsday morning the same democracy theme was emphasised in the (now famous!) Remarks of Senator Barack Obama "A More Perfect Union", at Philadelphia, PA (March 18, 2008). In his 37-minute speech on Race & Politics that are subjects of special concern to those who seek "a more perfect Union" what we heard was entirely devoted to the gifted spiritual leadership of Presidential Candidate Barack Obama. This speech has been compared favorably by Gary Wills with another speech on race by Abe Lincoln.
Nevertheless, leadership of "We the People" that is our indispensable road map to a more perfect Union of the whole people, must be more than another sermon guided by manipulative crowd politics. This is leadership of the few. How can one man who is not insane pretend to lead hundreds of millions of Americans who are divided by incommensurable values? No way! Developing human capital and social capital, working toward OmniCapital, with control by "the People" and society over the state, is the American way. These concerns are greatly exacerbated in a global context. This is the "democracy crisis" Al Gore underscored, as an open question, in his new slide show about the climate crisis.
We cannot secure the values of democratic sustainability advanced by Reverend King and Nobel Laureate Gore, while supporting the values of decadent capitalism advanced by Joe Lieberman and Ronald Reagan; these choices are between incommensurable values that are mutually exclusive. The crisis of democracy requires citizens and political leaders to support democratic sustainability to avoid the destruction of planetary life. Citizens favor this change but leaders -- right, left, and center -- are paralyzed. The crisis of democracy is a crisis of leadership. The style of leadership offered by Candidate Obama, asserts the control of leaders over popular control, guided by manipulative crowd politics. This style of leadership may have been acceptable in a democracy at the time of the Ancient Athenian Agora, when leaders spoke directly to citizens and citizens could respond directly. That leadership strategy is obsolete in a planetary civilization embracing progress of the human mind during our own time. What is indispensable for the 21st century is leadership not of the few who desire to exercise power corruptly over others but of the many who have an ethical right to be masters of their own lives, organized under the New Agora.

Dialogue
A compilation prepared by Ralph Nader of the twelve controversial issues of greatest importance to the nation that are simply taken off the table without discussion as a conseqence of corporate investor domination of the Democratic and Republican parties, reveals how this insidious electoral game works to serve the few at the expense of the many. Here is the way Nader explains what the two leading candidates have taken off the table:
The whole idea of freedom, diversity, choice inside the electoral arena is a major issue, especially as the overwhelming power of commercial money in our elections has drawn the two parties into more and more of a convergence in corporate power issues. And that's reflected in the issues that draw a bright line between my candidacy and that of McCain, [Illinois Senator Barack] Obama, [and New York Senator Hillary] Clinton. They're all against single payer [government health insurance]. They're all against a media crackdown of corporate crime, power and abuse. They're all against cutting the bloated wasteful military budget that your magazine has disclosed again and again. They're all against changing the course in the Middle East. They're all against open debates and new debate formats. They're all against impeaching [President George W.] Bush and [Vice President Dick] Cheney for their multiple high crimes and misdemeanors. And they're all against repealing the Taft Hartley anti-union law... One metaphor for [my] campaign could be the tugboat campaign, pushing candidates toward the harbor of the people and away from the harbor of giant corporations. Remarks of Ralph Nader, in Time CNN interview "Nader Spoils for a Fight" Tuesday, February 26, 2008.
This is the electoral non-leadership that we get with the fiasco of crowd politics that locks citizens out of sharing their ideas that are the backbone of democratic power, and investor-driven electioneering campaigning that assures investor domination of the electoral process. This organizational structure severely impedes citizen engagement, pauperizes democratic power, and assures primacy of the theory of Social Darwinism and the "survival of the fittest," played out by men and women who reject the democratic evolution of cultural betterment, preferring the totalitarian insights of Adolph Hitler, Joseph Goebbels, and American advertising genius.
There certainly is a role for free speech of commercial media in the process of electing a Government -- in a democratic structure of the people, by the people, for the people. Such a democratic structure of Government obviously excludes by deliberate design the natural selection of ruling elites based on instrumental power; rather, such a democratic structure of Government must be guided by the first principle of the nation's charter "to form a more perfect Union" of the whole people. The application of such a democratic structure of Government must be consistent with the voices of the people -- one man one vote. Candidates for political leadership of this nation as well as commercial services to support the proces must be compelled by the people to obey these inexorable commands of democracy, and American citizens must walk the talk of democratic Government, if we ever hope to realize the promise of a real democracy.
Prepare yourself well. Use the LoD Website as a special democracy knowledge archive. Start your own democratic political leadership group ("DEMg") with family members, friends and colleagues. Take off the blinders. Think holistically. Release yourself from unwarranted fear. You are more powerful than you think. Learn how to use your computer devices -- desktop, laptop, and handheld -- for boundary-spanning democratic dialogue. The liberating power of structured group dialogue is awesome. Get ready for the fight of your life.
We have heard enough of the same old demogogy. With the rare notable exception of Ralph Nader, who has devoted his life to the betterment of humnankind, the achievements of politicians in general show a consistent readiness to, above all, take your sovereign power to empower themselves.
Even the best of that old scheme is never going to serve the just needs of the whole people. Dependency upon that failed old demogogy has produced The Frankenstein Civilization, which must now be destroyed, for a new history-making epoch created by democrats. The fundamental idea of looking for the "good" leader in a planetary civilization is just nonsence. The people cannot becomne masters of the situation by such means. We need a democractic leadership structure of the many not a fascist leadership monopoly of the chosen one; especially, when the choice of leadership is dictated by media, itself, becoming the message. Is this not embarassingly obvious by now?
All the candidates talk as though the existing scheme offered blind "hope" for a better future. Nader is so hopeful he is forced to admit at the outset his candidacy will not take him to the White House, which is reserved for those who will not challenge the stanglehold of Big Monery on the Government of the USA. What kind of election is that? Where does it say in the Declaration of Indedpendence, the US Constitution, or Lincoln's Gettysburg Address that We the People shall be locked out, Big Money shall take total control of The Courts, The Congress, and The Executive Office; that they shall engage in robbery with impunity and make murderous war wherever the Military Industrial Cabal says, at their will or whim? This election is another of those "highly successful act of hypnosis" that Nobel laureate Harold Pinter described, made to appear normal with the use of high-definition images by the fascist media.
Everything will be explained by the media in normal doublethink, happy American technicolor. That's how we got Nixon (and Watergate), Reagan (and Iran-Contra), Bush II (and NY Twin Towers-Iraq), each time, with larger and larger national debt, now soaring into the Cosmos of, perhaps, a ten trillion dollar, ecologically destroyed, heritage for our children and grandchildren to pay. Wake up and join the fight for a better future chosen by the people as "masters of the situation" subservient to no corporate state.
Capitalists have placed their bets on the theory of Social Darwinism, exemplified by the depraved insight offered by Adolph Hitler, Joseph Goebbels, and American advertising genius, which drives The Frankenstein Civilization. They appear to be on an unstoppable march toward totalitarian USA. All Americans together, the whole American people, must take personal responsibility for the presidential election of 2008, to stop that march cold in its tracks, and to support the people as masters of our own lives in a real democracy. The truth is we do not need another election governed by the structures of decadent capitalism; we need a new nation. Here is the mandate for necessary action in these circumstances:
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. The Declaration of Indepedence, adopted by the Continental Congress in Philadelphia, on July 4, 1776.
The collectivce wisdom and powers of the people striving for enlightenment and the betterment of humankind will not ultimately be defeated by the tyranny of artificial aristocrats and return to barbarity driven by the primative theory of the "survival of the fittest." Our worthy ancestors have overthrown all the tyrannical forces of world history driven by natural selection, including the Pharaohs of Egypt, the Church of heavenly Earth, the Emperors of Rome, the Conquistadors of Spain, the Feudal Lords and Monarchs of Europe, the slave plantations of America, Global Colonialists, Fascist Dictators of Western Europe, Latin America, South Africa, the Philippine Islands, Indonesia, and Japan, and the Communist Dictators of Eastern Europe and the Soviet Union. All fell by the unvanquishable power of the People! Now we await the transformation of savage Capitalism, which is written in its self-destructive structure and in the creative love of the participatory universe.
