Focus

The Orientation to Deafness (OTD) program has a long history of training rehabilitation practitioners through the University of Tennessee. Although grant funding is not available, the Center on Deafness and the Tennessee School for the Deaf believe this is a program very worthy of our continued efforts. The 2007 OTD program will provide the same innovative, hands-on and intensive series of classes/seminars specifically designed to teach rehabilitation practitioners how to work and communicate with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Rehabilitation practitioners return to their communities with momentum to share their new knowledge that is both practical and effective.
