This presentation will be presented in two parts: Vocational Rehabilitation and Transition. It will provide an overview of the role of rehabilitation in facilitating the transition of deaf and hard of hearing individuals to postsecondary education and training, the world, and the community. One of the key tools for making successful transitions is language. Using several case examples, this presentation will also describe the various approaches used by rehabilitation to provide culturally diverse deaf individuals with language skills to succeed in postsecondary, community, and world settings.
