Faculty and student service personnel each play vital roles in providing
educational opportunities for all students. For this reason, cooperation
and communication between the two areas is essential and of particular
importance for students with disabilities. Personnel from Student Services
and Instructional Services at Madison Area Technical College (MATC)
cooperatively developed a process that promotes student self-efficacy and
thereby facilitates student success. The theoretical underpinnings,
challenges, obstacles, benefits, and implementation of a system to achieve
these goals will be outlined in this article.
