Section III: Identifying Postsecondary Institutions

Objective:  To assist students who are deaf or hard of hearing in exploring postsecondary education options and programs which can meet their individual needs.

Equipment/Materials:
An overhead projector and markers will be needed to record the responses of the audience participants.  A portable flip chart or dry erase board can be substituted for the overhead projector.


Where and How Can I Get the Education/Skills I Need?

Discuss the different types of training opportunities and postsecondary programs which can prepare students to enter their career field.  Display the diagram representing the various training opportunities available to students on a local, region and nation level.  Review the types of career options which were discussed earlier in the presentation and how they relate to the diagram.
