| To provide structured and relevant programming for young adults, the CPC has created Life Pixx,
a program giving participants an opportunity to explore their
environment through digital media. For one project teens learned to organize a project, conduct interviews, and
use digital equipment -- ultimately to create a Public Service Announcement (PSA) for the host
center.
In another project with elementary-school aged students, participants
worked with UT volunteers to learn the basics of photography, including lighting and
composition. This class culminated in a show of the
students work at the host center.
The program is being held at two Boys & Girls Club centers and in partnership with
the Urban League of Knoxville.
