Delaney's version of The Last Supper depicts Christ surrounded by figures representing different ethnic groups. The figure in the upper left, representing God, is serving his Son, symbolized by the lamb.

Interestingly, Delaney prefigured the crucifixion by his inclusion of an image of a cross in the upper right corner.
