I found in Tropfke "Geschichte der Elementarmathematik", vol. II, third
edition, p. 225 the following data:
K. Bruhns, Neues logarithmisch-trigonometrisches Handbuch auf sieben
Dezimalen, Leipzig 1870
which seems to be the original of the English edition quoted. Tropfke
remarks that this manual is without any errors (!) as are predecessors like
C. Bremiker 1857), L. Schro"n (1860), and Fr. Callet (1862).
