First.
There is very little doubt that "Betazzi" is a typo for "Bettazzi".

Second.
Reading (between) these lines I happen to believe that some listmembers
believe (perhaps assume) that Rodolfo Bettazzi was an *obscure* Italian
mathematician. Let me firmly state that this was NOT the case.
