[HM] Weil, Berlioz, Schwartz, etc

If we take a look at the following names:

Weil, Berlioz, Schwartz (Laurent), etc. they have something in common:
they are Alsatian proper names. Thus, the final consonants must to be
pronounced... as in Alsatia! A result of foregoing geoplitics?

Something similar occurs with latinized biblical names, I guess. Thus,
the final l in Samuel is pronounced.
