Richard's question must cover the round off aspect of infinite series,
the structure of Horus-Eye and Babylonian numeration. However, Egyptian
fractions used a finite system, one that 100% avoided round off errors.
It should also be noted that our modern base 10 decimal system is only
400 years old, and should not be used in any way to read Egyptian
fractions.
That is, your question assumes a position of someone that have never
worked outside of base 10 decimals, in a serious manner.
Please discuss the issue of base 10 blinders in your article, and you
may take a major step in explaining why Egyptians wrote
2/7 = 1/4 + 1/28 and so forth
be the subject the fair distribution of bread or beer.
Best Wishes on your project,
