Since you have posted an English translation from Aristotle's PHYSICS, I
will mention that there is a new translation, and guided study, for
ARISTOTLE'S PHYSICS
by Joe Sachs, Rutgers University Press, 1995.
It's purpose is to rescue Aristotle from the jargon of the translators who
base their translations on translations into Latin and hence use words that
are misleading to us such as *essence*.
If any of you will read it (or have done so), please let me know whether or
not you think it works.
Full disclosure: My wife did the drawing for the cover, but don't worry,
all she received was a free copy of the translation.
