[HM] Query on Lautman

Does anyone know anything about Lautman who summarized his philosophy
of math in a book in French in 1977 and who apparently combined interest
in the early Bourbaki work with hermeneutics and developed a theory of
mathematical questions and problems.

Was he competant to discuss the mathematics that he treated. Have other
people discussed him? I ran across discussion of him in an article on
Deleuze in the Blackwell Critical reader thereupon.
