| Does anyone know anything about Lautman who summarized his philosophy
| of math in a book in French in 1977 and who apparently combined interest
| in the early Bourbaki work with hermeneutics and developed a theory of
| mathematical questions and problems.
|
| Was he competent to discuss the mathematics that he treated. Have other
| people discussed him? I ran across discussion of him in an article on
| Deleuze in the Blackwell Critical reader thereupon.
|
| Thanks for any leads.
Dear Val,
There is *plenty* of significant information on Albert Lautman (1908-1944)
and his work in _Revue d'histoire des sciences_, volume 40 (1987), Paris:
Presses Universitaires de France (ISSN 0151-4105).
I would be very glad to provide further notice if necessary.
With best regards,
