It is my task for an ICME publication to write on curriculum, in
other countries than the United States, which might incorporate
the teaching of the history of mathematics into instruction for
pre-college/pre-university students. I am particularly interested
in primary and secondary students. I would like to know of any
situations where the history of mathematics has been used with
students with special academic needs. I am aware from my research
of different projects. However, I am not aware of specific curriculum.
Perhaps, some of you would have the time to let me know personally
if your country has made any attempt to use the history of mathematics
pedagogically with younger students. Do you know of any projects?
Perhaps, you might know of someone I may contact.
Thank you very much in advance.
