I would like to introduce the international conference of
The Third International Conference on Oriental Astronomy (the 3rd ICOA)
in Fukuoka, Japan.
The traditional Japanese mathematics was very close to the astronomy,
such as Seki Takakazu (Kowa) studied the "Shoushi-li" calender
(Works and Days Calendar); then he wrote "Juji Hatsumei" (Comments of
the Works and Days Calendar) in 1680, and "Jujireki-kyo Rissei no Ho"
(Methods of Manual and Tables of the Works and Days Calendar) in 1681.
That is to say, Japanese mathematics and astronomy was one subject in
that time.
The web page at
http://www.fukuoka-edu.ac.jp/meeting/ICOA.html
is the 2nd Announcement of this conference.
