[HM] quote on Hilbert/Noether

I am sure I once saw a passage to the effect of: "With
many mathematicians you are in cultured company interested
in art and literature. It is not so with Hilbert or Noether".
It may even be in one of Constance Reid's books but I can't find
it and I thought I'd ask before re-reading them entire. Can
anyone here help me re-locate it?
