Announcement (July 1, 1999)

In order to highlight the variety of journals available in the JSTOR
collection, we will be periodically changing the publications in the
Demonstration Database.

JSTOR is now working with publishers to offer independent researchers
access to specific journals on an individual subscription basis.

----------

The purpose of the Demonstration Database is to provide a preview
of the functionality and content of the main JSTOR collection.
The Demo Database is therefore an abbreviated version of the full
collection. It employs essentially the same interface which is
present in the full collection, but includes only a small portion
of the JSTOR content, and does not offer the special JSTOR print
capabilities.

The Demo currently includes only volumes from three journals through
1921: The American Economic Review, Philosophical
Review, and Transactions of the American Mathematical Society.
