My name is Andrea Gerlach, and I'm doing reference research for
Stephen Wolfram's forthcoming book A NEW KIND OF SCIENCE
( http://www.wolframscience.com ).
I am compiling index information for the historical notes of the book,
where Auguste Bravais, and his lesser-known brother Louis, are being
mentioned for their work on phyllotaxis. In the index, we are listing
full names, countries in which primary scientific work has been done,
as well as birth (and death) dates. Examples are:
