Dear Julio,
Thank you for maintaining this mailing list. It is always a pleasure to
read so many well-informed accounts on so many subjects. This is really
a magnificient tool to broaden one's interest and mind.
I have only one suggestion, even if it may prove difficult to be efficiently
implemented. Is it possible to maintain an archive with all the postings
sorted by subject (or historical periods) ? A bit like in the [categories]
mailing list archives :
http://www.risc.uni-linz.ac.at/research/category/risc/catlist/
I know such an archive is supported by swarthmore.edu and utk.edu but what I
have in mind goes beyond the mere classification of postings in topics; what
about classifying the topics themselves? (e.g. historical periods, famous
mathematicians, mathematics and litterature, call for papers, etc.)
Just an idea...
Best,
Olivier
