While I can live with Dave Stump's claim that,
"...the real death-knell of Kant's theory of geometry did not come
until Einstein's GTR."
I would prefer to qualify that by defering to the earlier work of
Gauss and, of course, Riemann.
Either way, the earlier claim that noncommutativity follows from
Hamilton's notion of 'algebra as the science of pure time' appears
best left for the archives.
