Ramanujan's books: many years ago I bought, for 30 shillings, volume 1 of
Hermite's Cours d'Analyse (1873) because it contained G.H.Hardy's
signature. On the inside back cover is a little label 'BOUND BY P.SHUNMUGAM
& CO., MOUNT ROAD, MADRAS', from which I assumed it might have belonged to
Ramanujan.
