I want to thank Mr. Araujo for pointing out that Hauber's theorem
is mentioned in the fourth edition of Hilbert-Ackermann. Since
then I have seen it in the third German edition 1949 as well, and
it appears likely that it occurs in the earlier editions also.
In any case, Ackermann being not connected with Scholz, this refutes
my conjecture that for German authors their mentioning Hauber's
theorem indicates their connection with Scholz.
