Dear John,

Al-Khwarizmi was not Arab; he was from Khwarizm which is not
part of Arab world. Although he wrote is Arabic. He was a
Persian; however, Arabs called him "Al-Khwarizmi", "the man
from Khwarizm".

Best wishes
Arsham
