In response to Robert Tragesser's request for a citation of the famous 'Let
us calculate ...' remark from Leibniz ... the answer is that it certainly
did appear (and a number of times} in his published work. See, for example,
its occurrence in the Collected Works (in the selection 'On the Universal
Science: Characteristic'), vol. vii, pp. 198-203. (English trans. on p. 14
of the Bobbs-Merrill monograph 'Monadology and other essays'). It can also
be found the preface to the General Science (Eng. trans. in 'Leibniz
Selections' (ed. Philip Wiener), p. 15) and in 'The Art of Discovery',
(Eng. trans., Leibniz Selections, p. 51).
