I am sorry to disappoint you, but Cambridge never burned anyone for
being a mathematician. Indeed, we only got round to burning one
person alive, and two who were already dead. None of them known
to be proficient at maths.

Nor can I think of any burning of maths books, unless it were
the case that Cuthbert Tunstall's Arithmetic was included among
other books of his that may have been destroyed in the course
of the religious merry-go-round of the 16C
