That's for the complex analysts here to answer, but I guess it's a "yes".

I wouldn't dream of sharing, say, Hasse's political views, which
can be described euphemistically as "naive", although nationalistic
would be more precise. But no one would deny that he was an excellent
mathematician, and most certainly _I_ won't. But then, Hasse never let
politics enter his mathematical works - Bieberbach and Teichmueller
did, and this certainly affects the admirability of what they
accomplished mathematically.
