It is interesting to remind that in 1949-50 (??) he was a visiting
professor at the University of SAo Paulo. There he taught ESPACES
VECTORIELLES TOPOLOGIQUES, whose first version (before coming as the
Bourbaki volume) was written by Jose Barros Neto and circulated in Brazil.
I studied EVT in 1952 or 1953 with these notes. Grothendieck had left the
preceding year or the year before.
