Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas is a multi-campus,
two-year college serving Eastern Arkansas. The PCCUA district is seeking
qualified applicants for the following positions:
Biology Instructor-Helena Campus
This is a full-time, 9 month position with full college benefits. Teaching
general biology, anatomy, and physiology, and on occasion an introduction
course in Botany or Zoology. Responsibilities may involve student advising,
assisting in curriculum development, and other college and division
professional activities. Candidates who have commitment of teaching adn
commonly utilize a variety of methods and modes of instruction to ensure
student success are encouraged to apply. Minimum of Master's degree in
Biology; prefer a minimum of two years of successful community college
teaching experience; ability to adapt teaching method to meet the needs of
students with diverse abilities and backgrounds; demonstrated ability to
work and interact effectively with colleagues, staff, students,
administrators, and others of various backgrounds; computer literate, and
experience or an interest in incorporating distance learning into
instruction.
LPN Instructor-DeWitt Campus
This is a full-time, 9 month position with full college benefits. Teaching
in classroom and in the clinical setting, clinical supervision, tutoring,
participation in departmental, divisional, and college committees; Work with
and under the direction of the LPN coordinator. Minimum of Associates
degree in Nursing, BSN preferred; Minimum of three years clinical experience
in an acute care setting; and ability to work well with others.
Physics/Math Instructor--Helena Campus
This is a full-time, 9 month position with full college benefits. Classroom
teaching of courses in general and/or technical physics, physical science,
and mathematics courses ranging from Developmental Math through Calculus
sequence; student advising, assisting with curriculum development, and other
college and division professional activities. Master's degree in Physics or
Applied Mathematics; preference given to applicants with a minimum of two
years of successful teaching experience in the physical sciences. Must have
ability to work and interact effectively with colleagues, staff, students,
administrators, and other various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds;
ability and willingness to adapt teaching method to meet the needs of
students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Math Instructor--Helena Campus
This is a full time, 9 month position with full college benefits. Classroom
teaching of courses ranging from Developmental Math through Calculus III,
student advising, assisting with curriculum development, and other college
and division professional activities. Master's degree or higher in
Mathematics with at least 18 graduate hours in Mathematics; preference given
to applicants with at least two years of successful teaching experience.
Salary: Salary commensurate with experience.
