I recant my earlier non-"solution." It seems that I was too confident and
took a quick and now obviously errant approach without bothering to check my
solution. My apologies for a silly solution, but perhaps a lesson about how
we have been trained and how we often teach our students to drive for quick
solutions at all costs when perhaps more thoughtful approaches would serve
all involved much better.
