All the written stuff and interviews are for the birds. Place the person in
a classroom and see what they can do. Having served on numerous hiring
committees in the past 25 years, I can relate some stories about those who
interviewed absolutely perfect in terms of background, experience and
education. Ended up being dodos in class. Sooo, be aware! Best solution,
when at a college in Montreal, is to hire for Cont-Ed, observe and then
promote to day.
