Also, I have many screen shots of the TI-92 at work at high level stuff
at www.pyro.net/~gdorner/ti92adv/ This currently takes awfully long to
load and will be changed ASATAD (As Soon As Taxes Are Done).
Both of these will be spiffed up and possibly moved or renamed. Your
comments are welcome.
Very quickly, my theses are:
...The TI-92 is enough machine, but not enough firmware at present, to
do "almost all" of what we want to do in the upper reaches of the lower
two years of collegiate math.
...The learning curve is not as bad and some features, notably the
script feature, portability, and cost, may actually be more useful in
fostering learning than are the big-name computer algebra systems.
...We ought to have the big-name CAS at hand to default to when
necessary, and learning when to do so requires more knowledge of real
mathematics than is usually assumed.
...I miss space curves, better surfaces, and more RAM.
We could go on like this.
