<< On a lighter note, do you think Tiger Woods made the right decision

Stanford before getting his degree? ;-)

Heck yes!! Now he can wear that ugly green sport coat to college!
To respond to the heavier comments on my cruel classroom methods........ It
was an experiment. The next thing I'll try (if I can coordinate this with
the Learning Center) is for the students (who do poorly on the first exam) to
get a tutoring "contract." They would need to check in with me and have
proof that they've been getting weekly tutoring at the learning
center........... But I'm just thinking about this.
Has anyone tried it?
This is really just a bigger problem that is trickling into our
classrooms......... We are seeing the first wave of students who were taught
in elementary school that they are wonderful people for TRYING!!!!...........
it doesn't matter that they didn't get the right answer.... it's their
self-esteem that's important.
