I'm a big fan of amipro (although someone told me the name is being changed
to wordpro) by Lotus. The equation editor is very friendly. It consists
of a pallette of just about any symbol you could want. You can put the
equation editor on your toolbar and get to it easily. If all you want is
one symbol or a single fraction in the middle of a sentence, this is not a
problem. Click on the appropriate icon, click anywhere else on the page,
and finish your sentence. I've tried word, wordperfect, f(g) scholar, etc,
and nothing else compares.
