3.9*10^-3 = 0003.9 ?
or better,
1.234 = 1/234
and best, as I was explaining that (ax+b)(cx+d) = acx^2 + (ad+bc)x + bd
a student who claims to have been educated in South Chicago suggested that ad+bc
should be 0 since ad (anno domini) and bc (before Christ) are opposites. I'm not
sure if the student was serious . . .
