One source would be:

A History of Mathematics by Carl B. Boyer published by Princeton Univ Press
in 1968. You may even wish to contact some folks at Rider University. Or
speak to the music departemnt at your college or local high school. Great
opportunity for team teaching and interdisciplinary learning.
