As Brian wrote in his update, I have agreed to edit a newsletter for the
TiME committee this fall. I would like for this effort to represent
"mathematics across the nation" and encourage all of you to submit a
paragraph or an essay for this endeavor. I know there is much activity
within the mathematical community because I regular receive brochures
about workshops, conventions, etc. Here are some suggested topics:

My favorite math web site and how I use it with my students

One idea I heard at AMATYC (NCTM, MAA, ...) and how I incorporated it
into my teaching

Mathematics on the web - an uncomplicated idea for those html documents

What's happening in the mathematical technology community in my state

Are any of you doing a math class using web-ct? Share your ideas and
frustrations.

We have set up an on-line math tutoring site using web-ct. Anyone else
using it for something besides just teaching?

How about the Academic Systems math software? From what I have seen on
the list, a pro article and a con article might be interesting.

And the list goes on .... I hope you get the idea that this does not need
to be a five page article; short, specific tips and ideas are great.

Please send articles to me at my e-mail address: svillas@nmsu.edu

Snail Mail: Sandra Villas

I look forward to hearing from many of you soon.
