Talk to the department head at Bakersfield College. They did a presentation
at the AMATYC meeting in Long Beach. They are doing some interesting things
in that class using multimedia presentations.

We have a semester class in which the instructor may choose to cover any
three of the main parts of the book. Our "favorites" seem to be Management
Science, Social Choice, and Statistics, but I have on occasion covered
Coding Information, and another instructor has covered Size and Shape. We
also assign some outside reading in the form of "popular audience" math
books such as "Archimedes' Revenge" (I forget the author's name) and
"Innumeracy" by Paulos.

You should view the video tapes yourself. Some of our students like them;
others don't. I believe that Bakersfield College is using them in the
multimedia presentations, using a computer for the video transport
controller and a box in the computer screen (with projector) as the viewer.
