I agree with Brian Smith

"As a long time user of DERIVE I can attest to its ease of use, ease of
instruction, and popularity among students. I get them started in one
session and they run with it. Miraculously, the entire program still =
fits
on a single 1.44 floppy. Not to detract from any of the other packages, =
but
I advise working with DERIVE and some of the other software to determine
which one is best for your specific needs. One advantage of DERIVE is =
that
the symbolic algebra on the TI-92 is very similar - in fact it is =
developed
by the same people."

I have been using Derive for Windows (DfW) and it is so easy to use. It =
can be purchased from our college bookstore for under $100. I use Derive =
with my Finite Math and Survey of Calculus students. It helps them to =
visualize the derivative much easier. I encourage them to graph with =
Derive.

The graphs from DfW import easily into word processing and other =
documents.

This is a vote for DfW.
