I only have experience with one WYSIWYG editor, Claris Home Page. It's
pretty good. Version 2 has some annoying limitations, but it looks like
version 3 will fix some of them.
It has the virtue of being available for both PCs and Macs. Another virtue is
that you can download a 30-day free trial version (beta version) at
www.claris.com. I think the educator's price (version 2) is around US$69.
None of this is to claim it is superior to anything else, but it wouldn't
be a bad place to begin. I maintain all or part of several sites with
Claris Home Page - though you still want to know HTML sometimes.
