I have addressed this question in my software review of MINITAB in the
AMATYC REVIEW (vol 21, No. 1, Fall 1999).

Here is the procedure:

Click on HELP then select 'search for help on' from the menu. Type in
"sample". Press ENTER.

Voila, an alphabetized list of all sample data sets. Click on any data set
to get the description.

Enjoy.
