Here is an interesting expected value problem a collegue sent me--From the
Christian Science Monito, Jan 31, 1997. The whole column called "Math
Chat" has some interesting problems and math readings.

New dice challenge (S. H. Logue)

If you have 4 magic dice, with the faces as follows:

A 1 1 5 5 5 5
B 4 4 4 4 4 4
C 3 3 3 3 7 7
D 2 2 2 6 6 6

You and your opponet each choose a die. The game consists of each player
rolling a die. The high roller wins. Which is the best die to be using?
Would the standard die be better?
