[MATHEDCC] graph paper

RWW,
i have no strong feelings about graph paper one way or the other.
i, too, prefer that my students be able to reproduce the
essential features of a graph without having to resort to
"connect the dots" work. however, there are always those
students whose work is nearly illegible and uninterpretable (i
think i just made that word up) without the skeleton support of
the graphing grid. if they want it, i give it to them -- if they
decline, no problem. actually, my goal now is to get them all to
use software to produce the graphs and then engage in some kind
of intelligent conversation about what they see. my calc
students can do this -- my college algebra kids have much more
trouble with it.
