As a point of information, the Technology in Mathematics Education (TiME)
committee of AMATYC has undertaken to do a survey of AMATYC members on
precisely this issue - what software is currently being used in two-year
college math depts and what package will respondents recommend as the best
solution for teaching specific topics. The survey is in the testing stages
at the moment and will be distributed during this semeseter. A final
tabulation and report of the results will be prepared and reported at the
latest at the AMATYC annual meetings in Pittsburgh. When completed I expect
the report will be available electronically. Stay tuned for news flashes!

P.S. If you are doing 3D graphing be sure to look at Cyclone 98 from
Mathware.
