We use the graphing calculator for our beginning and intermediate algebra
courses and have a student who had trouble reading the TI-81 or 82. She
has decided to work with the TI-83 although it is not easy for her. We also
tried the PC-81 for her, but she prefers the 83.
The use of the calculator for students with vision disabilities is a big
problem for us. We have a student in our pre-algebra course where we require
the use of scientific calculator. This student needs a talking calculator,
but we have not been able to find one with a square root key. If any one has
any information please let me know.
