Hi All,
This talk about making schools responsible for student learning seems
misguided. Ways to make students responsible for learning are needed.
Making schools responsible for students who are motivated to learn and do
their best makes some sense. The school fails when a student with the
ability and background needed to succeed does what is required to succeed
and fails. We should hold schools responsible only for the progress of
students who are holding up their end of the lerning bargain. It is
interesting to note that a student can learn without a school but the
school can not instruct without the cooperation of the student.
Keep the Faith- Al Roy
