Martha -
There are a lot of resources available through the National Association of
Developmental Education, which works with those students entering college who
need help. At the community college level, it means all math classes before
College Algebra and has similar guidelines in other subject areas. Their
recommended list serve is generally excellent since many of the participants
are Learning Center personnel who work with tutors and set up programs I have
been working with our learning center for my remedial students and find a
wealth of help through them and the list serve.
You can reach the list serve at
listserv@listserv.arizona.edu.
I hope this helps.
