I hope that I am not abusing my membership to this listserve but I put a lot of
confidence in my colleagues' experiences and advice and that is what I am
seeking.

Sept 17 - Oct 30 I will be in Europe. (Specifically, Netherlands, Switzerland,
Austria, Germany, Italy, France.) I am seeking your advice and suggestions
regarding:

1. Professional contacts in these countries. ALthough most of the
time I will be vacationing, I also want to find out as much as possible about
what is happening in mathematics education in colleges there.

2. Recommendations on sites, hotels, restaurants would be appreciated,
too.

I will be traveling with my wife and have a rental car for most of the trip.
